FFTS was THE historical romance that brought me back into the romance-reading fold as an adult. A friend recommended it, and it was a revelation.
ReplyDeleteJervaulx's torment ... Fabio's vacant smile - there's such a disconnect there, that cover always cracks me up!
Absolute auto-buy, Lacey. But she hasn't published anything in awhile. I think she wrote a total of eleven books. I'm going to the store today to get the remaining nine that I haven't read. She's THAT amazing.

India, I didn't say it was "tacky," exactly - but once you read the book, I think you'll get what I mean. There's just nothing in that book that says, "carefree smiling dude with bouquet" - it's a pretty intense read.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand your enthusiasm. Flowers from the Storm is my favourite romance novel ever! It's just incredible and I was blown away by the sensitivity of her writing. My first Kinsale book was actually Shadowheart, which is her latest published book, and once I read that I had to read every Kinsale book I could find. Can't wait for her next to come out!
